Archie Comics coming to the 3DS!

Yes, Archie (Andrews, not 96) Comics are coming to the 3DS eShop! In a recent interview, Dan Parent, writer and artist for Archie Comics, has said that "The popular Archie iOS app will be coming to the 3DS, and will be a free download with the ability to buy and download more comics." Such comics such as the Archie Digest series will be sold for average newsstand price, while collections of 3-Panel comics will be sold for as low as $0.50 for a pack of 40. For the first time, readers will be able to experience the adventures of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Reggie, Jughead, and the rest of the Riverdale gang in 3D! And yes, they will have the Kevin Keller 4-Part Mini Series.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D - Preorder Bonuses!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was made in 1997 for the Nintendo 64. In June 2011, Nintendo fans across the world are able to revisit the game in amazing 3D graphics as it will be available for the Nintendo 3DS. Amazon, a video game retailer, has announced their spectacular preorder bonuses!

New Rabbids Wedding Game!

Rabbids are small white video game characters, very similar to rabbits. They have long pointy ears and a mouth with many missing teeth. Rabbids were created by Ubisoft and jumped to fame in their first game which was actually part of the Rayman series. The Rabbids now star in their own spin-off series which are very popular on the Nintendo Wii and 3DS.

Xenoblade coming to North America?

As most of you may know, Xenoblade Chronicles is getting a release in Europe. Although there's no official news on a localization overseas, one of the voice actors for the game, Peter Dickson, said something very peculiar on his website:

"Peter has been cast as the Emperor Sorean - the leader of the High Entia in the cult Nintendo RPG Xenoblade Chronicles. The game will be released Autumn 2011 in UK, Europe and USA. Peter is thrilled to have played such a leading role in a massively successful Nintendo title"

Does this mean we'll definitely be seeing Xenoblade in the States as well? All I can hope for is a release in all of North America, instead of just the USA. I suppose I could just import the game from the States, but Canada needs some attention too.

Dragon Quest X speculation.

We heard about the next Dragon Quest game being on a console a while back. It was rumoured to be for the Wii.

Published by Square-Enix, the Dragon Quest series is VERY popular in Japan. And seeing as the last console release of a Dragon Quest game was DQIV for the PS2, this was very exciting news.

Unfortunately, the rumours quickly died out and we hadn't heard anything about the game for a long time.

Kirby Tilt n' Tumble on the 3DS?

Kirby Tilt n' Tumble, largely forgotten by today, was a novelty when it was released because instead of using the buttons on the Gameboy, it was controlled by turning the Gameboy. This title hasn't been re-released because of that fact, but now that the 3DS has a gyroscope, the game may very well be released on Virtual Console. Stay tuned to Nintendo Hub for more upcoming info on this title that deserves to be released!

Beyond the Labyrinth heading to the 3DS.

Do you believe graphics are essential in a video game? Have you been dissatisfied with the current 3DS launch line-up? Well, it looks like your time has finally come with Beyond the Labyrinth for the 3DS. We have received some BEAUTIFUL screenshots of the game throughout the day. These have got to be some of the most amazing shots I've ever seen. Mainly because of how well they develop the epic atmosphere for the game. And when I say "epic", I mean it. The areas in this game just really look like they have incredible size and depth to them. Do want.

The game looks to be a dungeon-crawler/RPG, and is said to have a female protagonist.

Beyond the Labyrinth is being developed by Tri-Ace, published by Konami and is due out in early 2012 in Japan, considering it's already 60% done.

Let's just hope it gets localized, eh?

Need For Speed 'The Run' Coming to 3DS & Wii This Winter!

This has made me very happy! I Love Need for Speed! And it's coming to 3DS! Just hoping that EA don't mess it up like their other 3DS games... but  you never know... I think it's interesting, and worth taking note that 3DS is the only handheld it's coming out on - shows how it's better than PSP - but also how it has enough processing power to handle main-stream console games.
There are no details about how the 3DS version will work yet, but we can assume it will be similar to the console versions.

You won't be getting a Nintendo with a buttonless controller

With the introduction of touchscreens and motion controls, the cynical gamer might think it's a matter of time before Nintendo abandons the use of buttons all together. Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata assures us that that's not what the company has planned.

To make this post not completely empty: It looks as though a new stage has been added to the game.

Cave Story 3D is due out on August 9th.

All BIT. TRIP games coming to the 3DS? UPDATE: Confirmed

It seems the beloved BIT. TRIP series on Wii Ware will be making it's way to the 3DS.

Luckily, Gaijin Games will be releasing the games in one pack. So that means we'll be getting Bit. Trip Beat, Bit. Trip Core, Bit. Trip Void, Bit. Trip Runner, Bit. Trip Fate and Bit. Trip Flux all in one package. Talk about a great deal!

Anyways, we'll be seeing this package in the Summer. So if you're a BT fan: you'll definitely want to keep your eyes open for this one.

Moblie Gaming to Replace System Gaming?

While most gamers may say that they like console games better then Mobile and Social games, there's no denying the incredible sales of such Mobile Games as Angry Birds and Doodle Jump. While modern games may boast that they have "Realistic Graphics" and "Innovative Gameplay", Mobile Games beat these titles in sales by well over $1,000,000. For example, on launch day, Halo 3 ODST, a highly anticipated game, sold 2 million units, while Angry Birds has sold over 10 million units, and that's only the iOS sales figures.

Just a quick bit of info, but it appears that Rare (which is owned by Microsoft) is on its way to FINALLY develop a new Banjo-Kazooie for Nintendo. This is just a rumor though, so don't get your hopes up too soon. This is a big rumor since gamers have been asking for a true Banjo sequel, since Nuts & Bolts was such a letdown. It does seem very likely since Microsoft is the only one of the "Big 3" to not be in the handheld market, so there is no competition. Also Microsoft has let Rare develop Diddy Kong Racing and Viva Pinata for the original DS. Keep in mind its just a RUMOR, but heres to hoping it does come true!

Pocket Pikachu on the 3DS' pedometer?

Pocket Pikachu, a virtual pet simulator, may be grafted on to the 3DS Pedometer, if Pokemon: Gold and Silver Virtual console rumors are to be believed. The main function of the original Pocket Pikachu was to find and battle rare Pokemon by walking with it, similar to the Pokewalker found in HeartGold and SoulSilver editions.

This new feature, which will use the 3DS' Pedometer, may very well unlock new content or Pokemon in Gold and Silver, and it is safe to say that Pocket Pikachu will be a free download to owners of Gold and Silver if this rumor proves fit.

New Pokemon XD for the 3DS?

YES! It may be a new Pokemon XD/colosseum for the 3DS. A Japanese magazine has published screenshots of the upcoming Pokemon game.

Iwata On Excite Bike, Virtual Console

Iwata is quoted talking about the May update:
“However, for the system update, we need to have consumers voluntarily go online with their Nintendo 3DS. We are planning to do some promotional activities in order to urge them to do so.

Excite Bike is coming free through the eShop!

It has been confirmed that excite bike, a gaming classic, will be downloadable free through the eShop once it releases in May. I this this is a great idea (obviously for us) but also for Nintendo - as it will increase buzz about the eShop.

Nintendo sells 3.61 million 3DS handhelds, but sees 2010 net profit decline by 66 percent

It's a "good news, bad news" kind of a day in Super Mario land, as Nintendo's announcement of a Wii successor has been followed up with the delivery of the company's financial results for fiscal year 2010, which don't make for happy reading.
