Electroplankton: Marine Crystals (DSiWare) Review - Crystal in the Sky, keep on sparkling.

Before we start off this extremely amazing and witty review, I have to give the back story of Electroplankton. Electroplankton was originally a game for the DS that was focused on making music. The first time everyone played the game, they thought, "Yay! Finally, and easy and fun way to make music!".

Then they loaded the game up the second time.

Electroplankton fell flat on its face because of the reason that you couldn't save or modify any music, so you could experience everything in the game in roughly 15 minutes. Also, there weren't many copies made, and they were only released in one store in North America. The creators of this game were ridiculed and almost driven to the point of endless madness, similar to your friendly reviewer Yokid575.

The creators of this game were clearly insane psychopaths, because they decided that instead of accepting that they couldn't make a fun game, they decided to break up the game into little parts and sell it separately! That has to work, right?

Right?

This is one of the last games released in the series, Marine Crystals. What do I have to say about it? Well, it will keep you interest... for a total of five minutes. After you're done fooling around with the various sounds the little fish-spawns make, you get really bored and wish you had spent your points on a better title.

Gameplay - While spinning around little fishes may be fun in small doses, the gameplay gets really boring after a while. 7/10

Graphics - The Plankton look adorable, but not the best graphics in a DSiWare game by far. 6/10

Sound - This is what the game was made for, and it shines. The music is beautiful and flows together perfectly. 10/10

Controls - Touchscreen only, and works well, but it's impossible to move to another plankton without taking your stylus off the system. 7/10

Random Category! - Cuteness - The Plankton are extremely cute, and if they weren't virtual line segments with fragmented artificial intelligence, I'd give 'em a hug. Pass!

Price - 200 points (or 40 nickels.)
FINAL SCORE - 6.5/10
Ever want to play a fun (and funny) series on the WiiWare? Sam and Max Save the World is a great, funny title. I highly recommend episode four.
